it's taken him a whole 3 weeks to get back to his birth weight - was 7lb 6oz at birth, 7lb exactly at 11 days and now at bang on three weeks has crawled his way back to 7lb 6oz.

Have to say I'm glad I've got a fantastic HV (they do exist honestly!) who isn't the remotest bit concerned he's taken so long to get the weight back or I'd be panicking - especially given DS1 and 2 had both jumped up the growth charts by the time they were the same age.

pleased he's gained the weight back, you should be really proud of yourself. My ds1 took almost 3 weeks to put it on, although my HV was an awful pain, every baby is so different in their feeding habits and establishment. am pleased your HV has been successfully supportive!

yes she's lovely - had the same HV since DS1 was about 22 months old (when we moved here) she came to see us as my old HV had forwarded on to them that his 'speech wasn't as far on as it should be'.....I wasn't particularly concerned - he had been "slow" with everything but caught on quick once he grasped it - she spent just 10 minutes at my house and looked at me and said "Why am I here there's nothing wrong with him" .

(She also spotted the bounty "your new baby" (or whatever it's called) book on the side and said something along the lines of "oh the book of advertising non-sense" .
