.. I feel sad feels like the end of an era and that she is turning into a toddler now.

She may still be keen to cuddle up and remember the milky good times.

Awwwwwwww. I wish that my dd (also 16 months) would cut back her feeds to once or twice a day (which she was doing until recently), but I'm not sure how I'd react if she self-weaned totally. I think I'd be rather sad too.

Would a hug and a cheeky nipple tweak help ?

I am pleased she did it herself rather than me having to substitute for cows milk etc. Just feels a bit weird not doing it at all any more!

Will take the hug but might pass on the nipple tweak if you don't mind

My DS2 self-weaned at 16 months and I know the feeling. In one way I was delighted to have 'done it' but in another it was sad, a sign that he was growing up.

One positive is in a few months time you can treat yourself to some nice new undies and no longer need to think about access to your boobs when you dress in the morning.
