Anyone else have a baby with no "full" point?

DD is 19 weeks, breast fed for 6 days then EBM by bottle with some formula until 6 weeks, now exclusively on formula (it's a long and painful story, let's not go there). I've just upped her bottles to 7oz after she seemed to go a bit feeding crazy last week and she has 5 in 24 hours, but she's draining each bottle. In fact, I've only ever known her refuse a bottle once whether she's crying or not, and it's very rare she leaves any at all. I just get the impression that she has no idea when she's full and so doesn't stop because she likes the bottle.

Anyone else come across this? All the books and advice seem to say "Baby will stop eating when she is full". Normally I'd throw the book on the fire at this point, but I'd like to know it's not a unique thing!

ds1 was, but more when he got onto solids, one day I decided I was going to let him reach that full point - I caved before he did. No experience with bottles though.
God he was a fatty, he is now a perfectly proportioned 4.5yo, no excess fat at all.
Is 19wks a growth-spurt point, someone will know more than me.

My 18 week old has 5 or 6 7oz bottles in 24 hours but often leaves a tiny drop in some of them. If your DD is draining them all why not make 8oz bottles to see if she drains those too.

My ds 2 was like this! He is now very tall, so I guess he needed it for growth.

Thanks ladies - it's good to know it's not just me! DD is not exactly a porker - between 9th and 25th centiles, following the line pretty much spot on, so she's not starving or seemingly overfeeding (she's quite a sicky baby and always has been so maybe she's throwing back what she can't take, although still throwing up 3 hours later doesn't seem to make sense on that one). HV suugested it might have been a growth spurt last week. I think I shall just go with the flow. Got a bit spun out by BLW info that seems to suggest that by not breastfeeding I've destroyed any chance of BLW and will therefore have a fat baby/child/adult!

bluey, your baby is drinking like mine did at that age. ther was no filling him at times. he is now 10 mo and healthy. he's probably going to be tall as we both are. don't fret about ff making your kid "fat". people are very opinionated about bf/ff so you are unlikely to get a bablanced view from anyone, myself included! so long as your kid gets mainly healthy food and is active, they'll be fine.

she definately isn't fat then (ds1's best was passing the 99.8th ), maybe worth trying a slower teat so she doesn't take it so quickly and so gets more sucking?

dd also 19 weeks breast fed, ebm, and occasionally formula. The only thing that stops her feeding is if she falls asleep. I went away for a hen weekend (bad mother I know ) and left gallons of EBM. I rang on the first night to find that DH had given her 12oz coz she hadn't gone to sleep! I had to order limits of 8oz to preserve the supply! She was very cross when the bottle was taken away but soon settled down and went the normal gap between feeds.
