Searching for the best nursing bra (for an ample bosom)

I'm in search of a better nursing bra in around a 34K/36J.
Surely there must be an alternative to the Royce Jasmine bra?

Have you tried Bravissimo? They've always been the best IMHO.

buffythenappyslayer21 · 28/05/2007 10:10

id echo with what sonta says, bravissimo are fab for bigger boobs!and they ahve a very nice pretty nursing bra in the current catalogue (or online) its not boring like the usual ones!!

Beanfrog · 28/05/2007 10:11

You can buy kits on ebay to convert standard bras to nursing bras.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 28/05/2007 10:26

NCT does some, alhough they all give you the boobs gone south look

kiera · 28/05/2007 10:43

bravado supreme?

TheBlonde · 28/05/2007 11:21

I have tried the Freya one from Bravissimo - got it in a 36GG which is too small now

(It was fine at the time but I am suffering from expanding boobs as breastfeeding continues)

Bravado doesn't go big enough

I will try the NCT one

I found firm support sports bra from marks way better than any nursing bra, it actually made me feel like I ha boobs again, not udders! I had intended to alter it and put in poppers, but I just used to whap my boobs out, not really any less discrete or easy than faffing about with a nursing bra.
xxx

i liked the royce much more thant the emma jane.
however, elle mcpherson seems to have brought out a lovely range. my pregnant dsis loves it. she hasnt reached nursing yet, but is norkularly gifted. try her stuff. figleaves and johnlewis both stock her stuff

Honneybunny · 28/05/2007 14:14

I was going to say Royce, but noticed that you have seen that one already. Seems like you have the same problem that i have: no alternative in your size (mine is 34L, and i am still waiting for them to shrink... ds2 is now 16mo!). I'll follow this thread closely, as i am getting v.bored with royce (in my size they only do white ones, so i don't even have choice of colour ).

TheBlonde · 28/05/2007 14:49

Ah I have found Emma Jane nude in a 34K so I will try that one

I found the Royce ones better than the NCT Comfort Bra (which I think is the only one that goes that large). I can't remember the style names but the Royce bra I got from John Lewis was a different style to the one the NCT sells.

InTheseShoes · 28/05/2007 17:26

Honeybunny I have a 38L in black, I think it is Royce, got it in Bravissimo. Bet they do it in the 34 as well. Not that great as a choice obviously, but thought you might like to know (I think the black is a fairly recent addition)

beckmo · 30/05/2007 13:58

cylonbabe -have you seen the sizes of the E.Mcphereson bras? They are so nice but I think the biggest is a DD or E cup! Following this thread as well as have small back (30-32) and cup size G or F. Trying to find a nursing bra in 30 or 32 is impossible.
