We had decided that we were going to breast feed until she was 3....so she is 3 . I breast feed only once a day, in bed when she first wakes up. The doctor said they no longer give the shot to help dry you out shock...that I was on my own. She suggested to beging every other day...then every 2 days & so on. I need suggestions please!

Bella just carry on as you are

ignore comments from people who don't know what they are talking about

you are doing a great thing for your dd and I firmly believe that extended breastfeeding makes life easier and more pleasant for us as parents in lots of ways

When you let a child wean herself you don't have any of the upsets or worries on either side and it just gradally peters out until one day you realise she hasn't breastfed for months.

My youngest was 23.5 months old. I said to her: "you're too old to be fed like now"*. She said "OK". End of story. Never asked again, never brought up the issue except to stick her hand down my front for comfort from time to time.

*She was a very violent feeder, struggling, hitting, biting. Tbh I am still surprised I got to nearly 2.

Just want to affirm what others have said - if you and your DD are happy, continue feeding her until she weans herself. You are being a wonderful Mum to your little girl.
