would like to do this diploma and then perhaps do some teachiing in schools?

has anyone else done anything like this?

i'm a breastfeeding mama and have three children. have trained to do peer-to-peer support, but want to learn further.

I looked into this, but was shocked by how expensive it was and how little you earn once you start teaching. I worked out it would take me 4 years just to recoup my costs!

just sent off for an info pack - nervously...

Tutti, it doesn't cost you anything to train as an NCT breastfeeding counsellor - where have you heard that it does?

We don't get paid for counselling, we are all volunteers.

Are you looking at the childbirth educator course? That costs quite a bit, but the NCT pays most of it if they accept you onto the course.

the breastfeeding one...

looks like it will be doing my degree all over again.
