question about b/f my 10 month old.

Ok, DD3 has been demand fed since day 1. Usually during the day she will have at least 4 feeds and then 2 at night. Sometimes this varies.

Over the last couple of days she hasnt asked for her midday feed. If I dont give it to her she isn't bothered and will happily go through to the early evening feed. However, if I offer it to her she will drink.

So, my question is. Should I let her drop the feed if she is happy without it? or should I just keep offering till she actually refuses?

is your 10mo eating solids? she may not be wanting the midday feed any more if she is! do you find she is drinking more at the later feed? do you feel she is drinking enough? its your baby you know her best! my daughter topped asking for her dinner time milk at about that age now she asks for a drink if she sees someone else with one. good luck hope i helped

Thanx, Yeah she is eating solids. Took her a while to get established on them but she is eating really well now. I'm inclined to say that I leave the midday feed, but I thought i'd ask as I haven't got this far with b'f my other girls.

Yes I have noticed that when she takes the later feed she does take more as if to make up for not having the earlier one.

It might have been nicer if she chose to drop the nighttime feeds instead of the middday one.

i gave up bf ages ago my dd 1 in couple weeks only bf for 6 weeks wish id tried bit harder though, you could see if she would take more in day have you tried offering extra in the day seeing if she will take less at night? or porrige before bed? good luck

My dd is 10mths and she has a very similar pattern to yours and she def is declining foods more often. Unnfortunately, also not the night time ones.
