chocchip, i find that mothers who advise you against breastfeeding are those who have not been able to do it themselves and i am sorry to say are quite jealous. I breast fed my ddfor 13=months she is now 4 yrs. My ds is 9months and is still being breastfed. When i say breastfed i mean soley breastfeed. None of them took formula milk cos they both didn't like it . My DD started cows milk at around 15 months and she loves her milk now. I tell people who have negative remarks about me breastfeeding for so long that my breasts are not fashion accessories -they are meant for my offsprings just like other animals. keep it up you will definetely be proud of yourself in the long run!!
