Why aren’t my breast engorged ?

So recently I stopped breastfeeding my DD (17 months), I’ve stopped gradually, she would have maybe two to three feeds a day and for the last week she hasn’t had any. I’m just waiting for them to get full and painful, or will this just not happen? My health visitor thinks it will.

Not necessarily at this point, because you've been stopping gradually and not doing lots of feeds a day before you stopped.

I stopped gradually with both kids after they turned one. Didn't get engorged at all. Your HV is basing it on what happens when you stop breastfeeding a younger baby.
