In the Sunday Times. Women may get right to breastfeed in public.

Fingers crossed. Would bring us in line with Scotland.

it is about "rights". most people seem to think that if you are bf-ing in public, wearing your baby in a sling or doing anything out of the 'norm' then they have the "right" to have a go at you. i have had nasty comments from people when feeding ds in public and having him in a front sling. and yes, some of these people were uncouth, ignorant chav-types, but some of them were middle-aged, respectable people who think that because i have a baby i'm fair game.

if i sound bitter, it's probably because i am.

That's why we need criminal sanctions. Such middle class types really don't want to end up on the sex offenders register.
To me this is a simple case of some sort of aberrant sexual drive. Do we see these types getting upset about you feeding your kid with a spoon ?
No.
It's the breasts. They enter some sort of fugue state when they see something they count as sexual.
The chavs are typically up for stuff that will only get the police to whinge at them. Sex offences scare them a lot, and if they're not scared, but still do it, one cannot help but assume that this is the start, not the end of the behaviour.
