We have really hard water where we live - you have to descale the kettle every couple of weeks and I've always wondered whether it has effects on our health, so I use the Brita filter jug. Now that my DS is drinking unboiled water, I just wondered which would be safer for him?

I did read a while ago that the carbon levels in filters are too high for babies. Does anyone have any info on this??

www.tinytotsaway.com/resources/articles.php?article_id=3

that site just says "Artificially softened or filtered water is unsuitable for infants as the mineral content may be too high"

Thanks - just read the article - it also mentions some bottled waters that are safe so I guess I could use them - I'm sure they're better than the tap water we have!
