Blocked milk ducts- how to resolve?

I've woken up this morning to what I think are 2 blocked ducts- painful to feed on that side and I have two small hard lumps on my nipple.

I've got a hot flannel on them and will feed as much as I can through the pain but is there anything else I should be doing to try and clear?

And how will I know when they're gone, is it just a case of no pain and lumps disappear? Will they suddenly unblock or gradually loosen?

Best way to found to loosen them is hot shower - hot as you can stand and put the shower head v close to your boob so that the water is pummelling the duct.

Massage while feeding. If you get a fever, go to gp for antibiotics.

Definitely massage and feed, feed, feed! Your breast will be soft again once the blockage has been cleared.

Massage and heat before each feed. I had a blocked duct for weeks and was expecting something quite spectacular when it eventually cleared, but nope, it just wasn't hard anymore.

You want to feed so that the baby's chin is aimed towards the blockage. This may involve feeding in some odd positions.
