Can I put my Avent breastpump in the dishwasher?

Can I put my Avent breastpump in the dishwasher? Will it end up clean enough?

I did, but not the tiny bits. I rinsed it when it came out and sterilised it before I used it.

I've put mine (hand pump) in the dishwasher apart from the little white star shaped bit. Generally sterilise afterwards but think that might be being bit over cautious - prob okay if used straightaway as dishwasher is pretty hot.

you wouldn't need to sterilize after it's been washed in the dishwasher..

Don't lose the little disc, valve thingy though.
