4.5 month old won't take more than 3 oz

I've posted before about issues with DDs feeding- very fussy from day 1 and was bf until about 3 months and I've been combination feeding for the last 6 weeks ago with mixed success. She's pretty much now exclusively formula fed but in recent days has taken to not drinking more than 3 oz in a bottle so I feel like I spent my life preparing bottles and offering her milk. She fusses and cries a lot when feeding unless she's sleepy which was exactly the same when I was bf. GP and HV been very unhelpful to date. Apparently as she doesn't vomit and is gaingin weight there's nothing wrong.

She had her 4 month vaccinations 3 days ago so could this be the cause?

Was wondering about switching to Aptamil Comfort too if anyone has any success stories about this?

Feeding has been such a battle with DD but she only shows some symptoms of reflux, not all, so establishing a cause of the fussiness has been so difficult.

I'm afraid I don't have any experience with Aptamil Comfort.

Have you checked whether your LO is teething? It could be that sucking is painful which is why she stops so soon.

If that's the problem, I think Calpol and Bongella are your friends...

Has she been checked for a tongue tie? Or have you thought about reflux?

Aptimil comfort is designed for reflux and constipation I think. Dd had it briefly when I swapped from bfeeding to formula to help with constipation but it made her very gassy. Her poo was green and explosive so we stopped it quickly.
Might be worth a gp visit if you are worried.

The points made by others re good ones and worth exploring. I had a dd with a tongue tie that was only picked up when in utter desperation I consulted a lactation consultant which at that time was very unlike me to seek help, let alone from someone I considered at the time to be a "quack"( obviously seen the light since !).

But the main point I came on to make is that my daughter would only ever take about 2.5 ounces when she was 6 months and I stopped feeding. I worked myself up into a frenzy about all the others babies who were draining g 8 oz bottles in 10 seconds. My very helpful HV pointed out very calmly that if that was all she was taking it was because that was all she wanted / needed. I am very petite and so was my dd and their stomachs are absolutely tiny at that age. The crucial thing is that they are putting on weight steadily. My dd actually put on weight very slowly and that was something else for me to worry ( unnecessarily as it turns out about).

The funny thing looking back is my dd then ate like a horse when she was weaned and my friends who had big milk drinkers worried because their babies only took 2 spoons of solids before refusing anymore.

It's all swings and roundabouts and parenthood sadly means there is always something to worry about !!
