Breast to bottle - how long and any tips

My DD is 6 months and has been BF all that time. I've started to introduce a bottle of formula in the day, can anyone offer advice or tips on how long it might take to go from the breast to bottle as I'm getting married in May and don't really want to breastfeed on the day if I can help it.

unfortunately it depends on the baby. She might take to the bottle really well ot absolutely refuse to do so.

My only adivce would be to buy a couple of bottles at a time (or borrow if you can) as she may take to one brand better than another.

DD1 would only drink from a Nuk bottle (and that took a lot of time). So I started DD2 at 3 weeks on a Nuk bottle (after buying several of them 'knowing' they would work!) and she took about 4 months to get onto a bottle - we tried several different teats and bottles and she decided on the Mam ones.

I know some mums ahve even gone straight to the beakers and bypassed the bottle all together.

Whatever you decide good luck with it and try not to get too stressed.
