Want to stop bf when ds is 1 - formula or cows millk?

Hi
I'd like to stop breastfeeding my ds when he gets to 1 (he's nearly 11 months now). It's because I'd like to ttc no 2 and I haven't had a period yet!
I had originally thought I would switch him gradually onto cows milk around this time however he's not too keen on solids and (I reckon) still gets most of his nutrition from me. In this case do you think it would be better to go to formula instead?

I would go straight to cow's milk, don't bother with formula

maybe give him a vitamin supplement if you're worried he's not getting enough iron etc?

JAA thanks for the suggestion. I hadn't thought of giving a supplement but it makes sense!
