baby is BF at 13 months old and I I still have no periods, is this normal????

Is this normal??? I don't want one but am wondering if I'm actually ever going to have one ever again.

Mine came back when ds was 12mo, I'm sure people on here have gone longer. Enjoy it!

I hope so because mine haven't returned yet and my baby is 16 months old

mine didnt come back till bf baby wa about 15 mths or even later, cant remember TBH

I wondered the same. Still feeding 15 month old ds, but stopped taking the mini pill last month and hey presto - my period. I would assume that it was the pill rather than the breastfeeding that was stopping my periods as it would be too much of a coincidence. Are you using hormonal contraceptive?
I do believe that I have read that some women don't have any periods at all until they have finished feeding completely so you might be one of the lucky ones.

Hi, don't worry, I reckon it's probably normal for you as am in same boat with DD of 15 months. No surprises here as with my others I only started periods again exactly 28 days after giving up the very last feed although I only fed them to @ 10 months so it is interesting to see it go on this long. Must say it is a real bonus. Hth.

oh, absolutely normal then, no i'm not on any pill at all. This is great, why don't they ever pronote this as a huge plus of breastfeeding. They should stick posters up all over the NHS.

i've had no periods and am bf 13m old. but i thought it was due to contraception - perhaps a combo of both? hooray I love it. If it wasn't for the bitten nips i would carry on bf for years!

just seen this thread - my baby is also 13 months old and I've had no periods yet, but I'm only breastfeeding once a day. For those of you who still haven't had periods how often are you feeding?

My daughter was 16 months - Result i thought! Hope it is the same this time round

Probably relistically about every 4 hours as son is a boob merchant and is addicted to it to sleep!

Mine didn't return until I dropped down to two breastfeeds a day, when ds was almost one (in fact he might have just turned one). Totally normal IME

Totally normal,I bf ds1 until he was 18 months, stopped and then had one AF, THEN found i was pg with DD2 !!

Was v good as don't think my boobs had a chance to "deflate" as i've heard can happen they're still suprisingly perky
