Is anyone else doing this at the moment too?

I'm trying to pluck up the courage to do it. She would still have morning and bedtime feeds.

Last night dd woke at 11.10, 2 ish and 4.45. Didn't go back to sleep after that.

She has just started going in a gro bag so that may be causing extra wakes. She was wrapped in a blanket before but when she wakes and we try and wrap her up again she gets so cross.

I don't want to co sleep.

She is great at going to sleep, day and nightime. And goes down awake 90% of the time, but after night feeds she sometimes cries. I just feel so tired now and I haven't slept through for over 4 years. Dh is getting very annoyed too.
She has sometimes gone from 7 till 5ish but they were a few rare, blissfull times.

I think I'll do a patting/shhh technique and go in and out.
I'm also worried about all this affecting ds sleep. He always gets woken in morning by her, not really in the night thank goodness.

Rambling now...

I had trouble getting DS off night feeds too but started watering down the feed and in the end I think he just couldn't be bothered to wake up for what ended up being basically warm water with a dash of milk! Good luck.

DH did our night-weaning. That way a) DS didn't get annoyed because I was there and refusing and b) I didn't get the urge to 'give in'. It was still a fairly unpleasant three nights, but DH cuddled him and shushed him, so DS wasn't crying on his own, and it worked out fine. I can never understand how bfing mothers can have the strength to do this - I would have caved within about 3 mins! As it was, when I took over the night-cuddles, there was no way I was going to feed him, because DH had put in all that work and I wasn't going to undo it!
