Breast feeding and pregnant

My 8 month old son is breast feeding and I've just found out I'm pregnant again. I'm not sure whether I should stop breast feeding or carry on throughout my pregnancy. Any advice anyone?

I know lots of people do carry on and tandem feed but also many decide they'd rather not.
Very personal decision.

No reason why you should stop, katie - it's up to you. There is no health/nutritional reason why you should, if that's what you mean

I breastfed ds1 whilst pregnant with ds2 and am still breastfeeding both - ds1 is 2.5 years and ds2 is nearly 7 months.

I read an excellent book called "Adventures ijn Tandem Nursing - Breastfeeding during pregnancy and beyond" by Hilary Flowers, published by La Leche League (ISBN 0-912500-97-2) which gave excellent information about feeding whilst pregnant (particularly when the bump gets in the way!).

Anyway, good luck with your pregnancy and I hope all goes well.
