The effect of expressing on the bobs

Just out of interest, was hoping to pick other's brains. When I went back to work after dd, I expressed with a double electric pump for 6 months or so and have from day one had to use it a lot with ds due to weight gain issues. BFCs have looked at his/our(?!) latch and said it seems ok but I wondered if lots of expressing could have damaged or altered the nipples to make it hard for him to latch properly? Has anyone had any experiences?

Not sure this will help or not - probably not but thought I'd try. I expressed exclusively with double pump for 1 yr with dd1 as she wouldn't latch. 7 mths after stopping I had dd2 who latched on without any problems - so don't think my nipples were damaged. Hope you manage to get it sorted

Thanks shivs. It does help to hear that. Maybe he is latched ok but just needs extra milk.
