Nearly 9 Month Old & Exclusive Expressed Feeding Help Please

DS has bit me again feeding him now, and I really can't take it anymore I think the bottles have mucked him up abit aswell as they are easy for him. I took him a bottle of formula and his face lit up and he's had 10oz of it

So... how can I do this? Ive been on Kellymom and it works out the amount of feeds DS usually has, then tells you the rough amount per feed of EBM he will need, and it says 3-4oz!? That cant be right... if he's just had 10oz of formula?

Help please... I don't want to get stuck in the formula trap

Thankyou xXx

Hi
I am currently exclusively expressing too and I wouldn't pay too much attention to what kellymom says on the matter..your DS knows how much EBM he needs at each feed and will self-regulate. That has been my experience anyway. If it helps you could make up a few small bottles of EBM and offer as many as you need to fill him up. If you express and put the EMB into the bottles and keep at room temperature (up to 10 hours) you can just put the remaining bottles in the fridge. I would keep a log of what he eats for a few days, in case there is a pattern and then offer him bottles to suit.
