Still got breastmilk One year after stopping ...

I still have milk in my breast one year after stopping to breast feed. Is that normal? When will it go away? I am anxious to get rid of the milk as I believe that the hormones producing the milk are prolonging my SPD.

I think you might have to wait a long time
my sister stopped bf about 8 years ago and she still has some milk. there are no hormones in the milk itself, btw, but have you had any medical advice? I doubt it is affecting your spd. are you getting physio?

Yes I am getting physio and am seeing (and spending my life savings on) a chiropractor. I can't believe I suffer with it 18 months after the birth. I thought it would go away once I stopped breastfeeding. I have spoken to a lot of mums and they all think it's unusual to for me to still have milk, so I just put two and two together and thought that perhaps I am still suffering with SPD because the hormones to make milk are still in my body. I will go and see a GP as they've said that they can give me an injection to stop the milk. It's just that I'm not all that keen on even more bloody hormones in my body.

Anybody else still have milk after stopping?
