Will my boobs stay the same size (32H) now I've BF for 8 weeks?

DD is now 8 weeks and we're established BFers (I hope!). Does this mean that my boobs have established their BFing size? I'm really depressed with my cheap Mothercare nursing bras. They have no support (for my H cups), but I don't want to fork out for better supportive bras if I'll change size again soon.
Talking of which, is there anyone else out there as disproportionate as me? Any suggestions for bras would be very welcome (support more important than style, as I'd love to hike them up enough to wear nice tops again and not look horribly matronly). Most BF bras don't seem to go down to 32 back size. Had a bit of a cry about it this afternoon when I tried on my pre-pregnancy little tops and was bulging out of the sides and significantly lower than before, even though I was an E-cup then.

Probably not, your breasts go down in size as the months go on and milk production becomes more efficient.

I have much smaller breasts than you so I can't help with good bra info. But I found my AA pre-pregnancy went to a C while pregnant and in the first 3-6 months of bf. Then as bf went on I went down to a B cup, then an A cup when I'd stopped. They were definitely at their finest in the first 3-6 months of bf!

You're the exact same size as me! Getting measured at Rigby and Peller changed my life! I find the comfiest and lowest cut(and therefore least noticeable style under the deep v black tops essential for my shape) is from Fantasie and its called conspiracy - you can get it from Bravissimo but it comes up sometimes on ebay too.

Check out Bravado for nursing bras - intersting stuff about size changes before/after preganancy and feeding on their site too. But ring them I'm sure they had some different sizes available recently ie. smaller back bigger cup.

Try Royce - you can get them on figleaves and bravissimo
I wore a 34K last time for bf although they got smaller once DS started solids

Bum!
Thanks for all the replies, it looks as though I'm going to have to fork out a couple of times for nice bras while I'm BFing, because I've decided that even though I'm likely to change size I can't afford to live in saggy horrible bras for over 6 months.
Bravissmo are going to get some very good custom!

Royce worked for me too. 32J was me - I b/f for 16 months hoping dd would somehow eat them.... I'm now the same size I was before preg just droopier

MrsTittleMouse · 12/12/2006 22:10

OK, so I'm going to order a Bravado S++ and a Royce from Bravissimo. Just one quick question: I am wearing a Mothercare 32H right now (not supportive at all), and the band size fits well but the middle bit between the boobs is standing proud from my chest. Does that mean that I should go up to a 32J do you think?
I just measured myself, and I'm 30 inches around the ribs, and 41 around the boobs in a non-supportive bra, which should make me a 34G, but my 34G is too big in the back, and stands even further out in the middle.
Any advice very appreciated!

The measuring thing always gives me the wrong size too
If the calc gives you 34G but 34 is too big then add a cup size for every chest size you go down -> 32H, 30J

Nonunderwired bras will always be away from your chest in the middle unless you are small of boob
Do the cups look too full?

Mine stayed the same during bf then dropped back to my pre-pregnancy size a few weeks after I gave up, although due to fat back I now have a wider bra size!!!
