another one with sore breasts!

Having problems with breastfeeding. 3rd child so should know about such things!! H is 11 weeks and fine feeding it is my breast that are very sore - the bit around the nipple has red almost blister like abrasions and where the nipple joins the breast has split - OW!!! no other symptons, done the cream for thrush thing and also AB's no improvement! Would love to continue Breast feeding. Can anyone help suggest ways forawrd.

The magnetic books, I got from a local book store to me (not much help there!) but I have just looked on amazon.co.uk, they sell them. The ones I have are the snappy travel series but have seem they have others.

Me, had a really bad night last night H decided that she was going to be mis and sick between the hours of 2 and 4:30. I think it was a lot of wind coz once she expressed very audibly!! at both ends she settled down. I am hoping it was a once off coz I have got to catch up on some sleep.

Guess what - another boob problem!! Sore nipple. Seems a little infected (same side as mastitis was). mmmmm lovely. can still feed on it but it's a bit tender to sat the least! Has also been bleeding a bit but I wouldn't say it's cracked. Will keep a careful eye on it and keep it clean. Don't fancy another trip to the GP as I never seem to be out of the surgery. Why can't things just be simple and easy??!!

Still no email from mn. Am heading off on Weds to visit folks - dreading the journey as think mastitis is re-surfacing. Appt with GP tomorrow. Have been trying to sort it for two days without much success so a bit sore now. Will try to hijack parents pc when I get there. If your email does arrive, I'm not ignoring you - I'm just not around!

Done the journey and am at home (parents) now. Kids were great. Will check in from time to time to see if you're around.

Hi again - won't be able to check home emails as am total technophobe and don't know how yet, but will be back by 30th. Having a nice time at 'home' though and v glad parents have come into new millenium by getting a pc!! Things have been a bit better and had some decent sleep! not much time now as ds2 is making noises for a feed - he settled v early tonight and allowed me a couple of hour out with friends while Mum and Dad babysat - lovely. Will get back to this later.
