Hello mnetters need your help again! On sunday DS (6 weeks) got took into hospital a&e after his wheezy chest resultled in him chocking and going floppy- he also projectile vomited after every feed :(. He was a viral infection, causing a rattly cough and a water infection we've been given antibiotics and have a review tomorrow. However since sunday little man hasn't been feeding as usual (normally hourly during the night and every 2-3 hours during the day) and has dropped to three feeds during the day, one before bed and one at night. This is slowly increasing however my breasts have become very, very sore and hard, they're leaking but i have tried pumping every three hours (im only getting 1-2oz after half hour) they've also started spraying ds in the face! Im also becoming run down my glands are swollen, sore throat, generally under the weather....I'm really worried that I might have mastitis and the effect ds not feeding will have on my milk supply i love bf him and don't want to give up! Help! I don't know what to do xx

I would get checked out with the doctor, if it is getting antibiotics early will stop it getting worse.
Also use a warm compress before feeding and a cold one after as this will help the discomfort and help clear any blockages that may build up if you are not feeding fully.
Expressing a small amount before feeding will stop the flow being too fast and spraying your ds just do it long enough to feel the let down.
Hope you both feel better soon.
