Is it normal to have one boob bigger than the other?!

Hi,
I have been breastfeeding using nipple shields and expressing 4 times a day for nearly five months. I've noticed in the bathroom mirror that my left boob is bigger than my right boob.
This seems really strange.
Is it normal?
Does anyone else have different sized boobs when breastfeeding?
Does anyone know why?
Should I be worried, or just amused?
Will they go back to normal?

Er, lots of people have different sized boobs even when not BF-ing, let alone when they are yo-yoing up and down in size when BF-ing. Sounds completely normal to me.

Yes, I did. DD had a preferred boob, despite my best efforts to have her use both and start with the less favoured one.

She's remained an awkward madam, but my boobs are more even now feeding has long since finished!

Yes. Mine were slightly different pre kids anyway. My right always produced more and was noticeably bigger. Only recently stopped so no idea if they even out!

Thanks for comments, I had no idea that it wasn't just from breastfeeding, although in my case I think it is from bf. dd seems to prefer left side so maybe that ones just producing a bit more!

I stopped breastfeeding over 7 years ago and I still have one much bigger than the other. Dd preferred to feed from what is now the larger one. Hoped it would return to normal after a while but no such luck. Currently pregnant with dc3 and hoping he/she prefers the other side and evens them back up ????

You can always start a feed on the smaller boob to try and even out the sizes. I had to do this with DS because he was favouring the left boob more and more and the size difference was too obvious. He was quite old at this point though, I don't think I'd try to do it before 6 months unless there is a really strong preference.

yy completely normal. I noticed mine were different sizes when pregnant with DD1 and asked my consultant and he said small differences often become more noticeable during pregnancy/bf...
Then a few years ago I saw someone on embarrassing bodies (I think - or something similar ) who had breasts that were naturally a couple sizes different - went on to have an implant but only because they were self conscious /psychological reasons...medically no problem.

My left boob was always slightly bigger than my right, but now my right looks to be two sizes bigger than my left as initially she wouldn't latch onto the left. So I feel very wonky. I asked at my bf support group if it will go back to normal post bf, and they only said it might

Yes. Apparently in 70% of women it's the left... bizarre.
