My 4mth old DS is on Ranitidine for reflux and is very windy, burps for hours after a feed. Often a few minutes after starting a feed, he needs to burp but nothing comes up and he gets agitated. Then I sit there, knowing that he can't be full, wondering if I should keep trying every few minutes to continue the feed or give up. This morning he managed to get 1.5 breasts in over 1.5hrs, then he was full. The problem is, the next time he is crying I am not sure whether he is tired or hungry again because the first feed is so spaced out whilst waiting for the wind to come up. Some days I think I offer the breast too often and make the wind worse, other days he just doesn't seem to have an appetite until the evening. Anyone else struggle with this?

Mmm,did wonder about giving a bottle, but DS not keen to say the least. Yes, the morning is the worst when i feel I can't get going for the day, knowing DS was really hungry but has stopped feeding because of wind. So wearing, esp as I have DS1 who is not yet 2.5yrs old.
