dd is nearly 8 months and nothing yet for me either. I see I may still have a long way to go though yet by some of the posts on here. I want to bf as long as poss but want to start ttc again next year. Don't have to stop bf-ing to be fertile do I....?

My 15 month old was bf (apart from solids obviously) until she was about 8.5 months. I then spent about 8 weeks droppping a feed every 10 days until we got down to just one feed a day, the morning one, which she still has now. My periods came back about 2 weeks after getting down to one feed a day. She was around 10 months. I can't say they have been regular though. My cycle has been anything between 29 and 39 days long.
Thinking of ttc after Christmas so considering stopping bf in the hope that periods will return to a more regualar pattern!

I reckon everyone is different with regard to return of periods. While still bf there is no need to worry if there is no sign of period.

well, its seems like i will just have to wait and see but i won't be expecting anything anytime soon. Not that i mind, i've kind of got used to not having them!!!!
