apparently next week is national b/f awareness week, my hv has been asked to go on local radio and has asked me and a couple of other mums to go with her
as many of you will know i have a dd aged 3.5 who has cerebral palsy and she couldn't b/f at all and i only managed to express for about 4 weeks as had no support or helpful info(by coincidence she now has a dairy allergy).
ds arrived 10 weeks ago and latched on to b/f on his first feed, even though i had an emergency c-sec and he was in special care for the first day and basically is doing really well.i am also expressing(hired a pump through one of the recommendations on mumsnet)and although ds won't take a bottle at the moment i am building up a nice supply for if the inevitable happens sooner rather than later....
basically i just want to say a big thank you to everyone on mumsnet(i might not be posting as often but am managing to read every couple of days)and would anyone object if i got the chance to promote musnet i would...

Good on you Chatee!

Don't forget to drive home the importance of ante-natal BF info for us first-time mums. I have a real bee in my bonnet about us getting info BEFORE we give birth

Good for you Chatee - promote away. I have done radio for B/F week in the past and still have it on tape
