Follow on milk or cows milk for 14 month old?

DS is 14 months and for the past few weeks I've been giving him full fat cow's milk instead of the Aptamil formula that he used to have. Should I be giving him follow on formula instead? What are the benefits of follow on milk? I have been enjoying just getting milk out of the fridge instead of having to boil the blooming kettle all the time!

don't bother with follow-on milk imo cow's milk is really good for them and cheaper too. and easier.

Follow-on milk has absolutely no advantages over cows' milk if they're eating a balanced diet in every other direction. It's just a moneyspinner for the formula makers.

Cows...
The benefits from follow-on milk (certainly for a child with a balanced diet anyway) are purely financial...for the companies making it...

Cows - you may as well give your money to a dairy farmer like my dad than a multi national!

the benefits of follow-on milk are totally to the company that sells it
