Extended bfders...at what age do you qualify?

I'm still feeding dd at 1 year and she shows no signs of wanting to stop. DS was down to one feed a day by 11months and lost interest at a year but DD is as keen as ever. Still has 5 feeds a day - is that normal?

As I'm not going back to work this time, I'm planning to just let her carry on....so does that make me an extended bfeeder or do I have to get to 2 years, 3 years....Not setting myself any targets!

And if she's still keen now does it mean she'll want to go on and on or could she still suddenly decide to stop??

i'm still bf my 13 month old and she shows no sign of giving up her beloved booby!

i sometimes get fed up with it tho, especially when her nails need cutting. or she's grizzly and is just using me for comfort and not really feeding.

but then i remind myself that she won't want this forever and it's making us so close.

now i work nearly full time and she is a bright happy confident little miss. loves her grandma and nanny who share her childcare but her look of pure joy when i bring her boobies home is a wonderful sight!

she's also very cuddly and loves kisses, hope that won't pass when she finally gives it up.

well done to everyone for having such a great attitude to bf.

Mozhe, you are an inspiration. Working full time as a dr and having 5 kids never mind the bf!
