Breastfeeding and no bowel movement

My baby is 6 weeks old and I have been exclusively breastfeeding. He has not been for a poo in 8 days now. Is this normal as some people say yes others say no?!
He is not in any discomfort but I just feel that's a long time and when will he go again?

My DS did exactly the same thing until we started weaning, he would go 5-8 days without pooing we knew when it was coming though and called them "poo days" as he'd tend to be a bit grumpier on that day, building up to an explosion or two! Don't worry.

My DD did this about the same age. My GP said it wasn't normal. But hv midwife and breastfeeding counsellor said it was.
If he doesn't seem to be in pain don't worry. If it does seem to be bothering him, maybe ring HV or find a breastfeeding group for some piece of mind. :)
