Hi

I am still very, very sore from a minor op down below on Wednesday. I was sent home with paracetomol and have taken some nurofen as well.

I have some co-codamol in the house and was wondering if it's safe to take those whilst breastfeeding?
I am so, so sore and will phone the out of hours surgery tomorrow to get an appointment back at the hosp to get something stronger, I am not coping well with this pain at all.

Thanks

MD - thanks, that's excellent advice. I will take the tab when she goes to bed, usually she lasts til the wee hours so should give time for most of it to get out of system.

I last took paracetomol at 7am this morning (ran out so had to get more from chemist just then), best I don't take any more now if I'm taking a new tab at 7 then?

Thanks
Lucy
p.s couldn't get a spray of any sort. The local village chemist's stock is cr*p, will ask DH to try larger one tomorrow.

They didn't stitch all of mine either - they tried, but the stitches kept tearing through the skin so they gave up The 1st MW to view it described it as a 'gaping hole' when I asked her what it looked like !!! Guess she missed the tact lessons!

The gel worked wonders - going to the loo would leave me in tears with pain for 2 or 3 hrs (not good just before bed), but after the gel, it was just uncomfortable.

I thought at 6wks that it would never heal, but now (14w) I don't have any discomfort at all.

If you CAT me your address, I will pop one of the tubes in the post to you tomorrow if you can't get back to the docs.

Laura - I really can relate to how you describe the pain.

You're so very kind on the offer of the tube , however I don't know how to CAT! Is there a forum on it?

Thanks
Lucy

It's a way of sending somebody a message. At the top of the screen, to the right of the 'useful stuff' section, there is a link for 'contact another talker' (CAT). I've tried to CAT you, but you have the option switched off I think. If you want to email me direct my address is - laura . roberts67 @ ntlworld . com (take out the spaces )

Thanks Laura - sent you an email.
