Are there any antihistamines you can bf on?

Is there such thing as one which doesn't damage supply or pass through? Over the counter or one I can request from the GP?

I get skin allergies in hayfever season, not hayfever. I already have dermatitis and am scratching myself raw, it's horrible.

Barrier creams aren't even useful as blocked pores/trapped sweat set off the dermatitis.

Yes there are - I can't remember the name of them, but I was bfing DD 5 years ago and had the worst hay fever of my life. I went to the pharmacist and it took a while but they found one, don't be fobbed off. GP if necessary.

Thanks. My GP has a pharmacist in it who is very knowledgeable unlike Tesco pharmacy who wouldn't sell me ibuprofen so I will ask them and if they're stumped make an appointment. :)

from memory loratidine is level 1 and ceterizine level 2, level 1 being safest.

Sorry just to check - no one had it "dry them out"? My dd is 7 months so I'm in the settled boob stage but have heard this time can be risky for drying up with them.

older antihistamines had the effect of drying up secretions i believe, hence the fabled medised of old that had an antihistamine in to dry up snot but also made you drowsy however newer ones sick as loratidine are less problematic.
