So my dd is 3m old and breastfeeding is well established! The last couple if weeks I have noticed lumps in my breasts when they get a bit fuller - she is now going a but longer at night! These lumps get smaller after a feed. Ur don't go away. I've been seen by a nurse practitioner who said it's just my milk ducts. Today however my right breast causes me agony when feeding - not in the nipple but more the breast tissue behind it - I've never had pain like this - anyone have anything similar???

Mastitis? It's very painful but trY to keep feeding to relieve the blockage, gentle massage if you can tolerate it, warm showers and paracetamol. If you also get a fever you may need antibiotics but hopefully it will clear in a day or two.
