5 month old isn't feeding as much suddenly - should I be worried?

Hi, I'm fairly new here and not sure if this is daft or whether I should be worried (first time mum). Also sorry if it's an over asked question.

My 5 month old DS is formula fed and had just started taking 8oz in each feed, 5/6 feeds a day. Then for no apparent reason, as of a few days ago will only take 5oz, if we're lucky. I'm now giving him extra feeds to try and make sure he's getting enough (we feed him on demand so no schedules as such). We're planning on doing BLW in a couple of weeks but even then he may not actually eat much, and I'm getting a little worried.

Apart from this he is his usual self - happy, lively, sleeping well, not poorly, wetting plenty of nappies and a poo everyday.
The only answer I get from Dr Google is it's normal when a baby is teething, but he really doesn't seem to be teething. I'm at a loss as to why he's lost his appetite and not sure what to do.

Any ideas? TIA

This all sounds perfectly normal. The current advice is to feed on demand and you're doing just that. Please try not to worry.

Thank you for replying. I'll try not to, he doesn't normally give me reason to worry, I'm just not very experienced and never sure of what's 'normal' and this hasn't happened before. I'm probably just an overly worried first time mum!
