Hi, I'd love some ideas on how to go from on demand BF to bottle feeding my 6 month old son...
He is a great weight and is feeding from boob and is taking to BLW really well.
I want to start getting him onto bottles (before i go back to work in 10 weeks time) but am stumped on how...
I've just bought a medula swing pump but not sure when to pump as he always wants the milk i have! the odd time we have tried to give him a bottle of breast milk he hasn't been too fussed with it and HATES formula when DP has given it to him.
He (my son, not DP!) still wakes in the night for feeds, between 2 and 4 times, which i'm (usually) happy to do.

my thought is to try to get him onto a bottle of breast milk and then slowly introduce formula into it till its 100% formula if you know what i mean.
questions i have range from how and when to express, how much to express, how to get him onto more of a 'feeding routine', should he still be waking at night for feeds? (he is never that hungry in the morning!!), how much should he be eating, should it be from a bottle or from a cup??? what kind of cup?!

we are off on hols for easter and hoping to use that time to start a new plan... all top tips welcome!! xxx

frannie my DD is now 7 months and around 5/6 months I started slowly aiming to feed her at 7am, 11am, 3pm and 7pm in the daytime nighttimes are always different she actually adapted to it really well. I was surprised. It was great because then I knew when she would want to feed and didn't need to worry about it.

Now she is 7.5 months and I'm going to try switching her to formula because she is so distracted during the day that feeding her is becoming a real fight and I'm not enjoying it. I'm hoping she takes the formula - I used Hipp when I swapped DS over to bottles and I'm planning the same for DD.
