How do I get DD to dip spoon in food

Hi all,

Back once again looking for advice.

Our DD has global development delay and is coming up to 2 years. For about 6 months she has been willing to take a loaded spoon off the high chair tray, or out of a bowl that it is dipped in, and then put it in her mouth.

She is very sensitive to other's touch and if you try to put one hand over hers, she will immediately drop the spoon.

Also, if we leave a plate of food on the tray she will either drop the spoon and then use her hands with the food, or push the plate off the tray!!

Has anyone any advice on how to get her to stick the spoon back in the plate of food after she has eaten what is on it?

TIA as always!

No sorry, but not sure you will get much help on this section, it's more to do with Bfing and Ffing. Have you tried the SN boards? Smile
