That's it really! DS has always been fed on demand though now we are fully FF. He is very obvious when he wants/doesn't want a feed (now he chucks the bottle away!) so I offer but don't expect him to take a bottle at certain times. We have begun BLW and this has been going on for 3 weeks, I am offering him bottles but he is refusing, crying or only drinking 2-3oz a time and then just chewing the teat. He is clearly grouchy after a while but still won't drink much. So he is getting about 50% of the feeds he had a few weeks back. But he is then having about 3 7oz feeds easily overnight, (his last feed plus two night feeds before 7am) and then he gulps it down. I'm in no way planning to go no night feeds for a while, but he is now having more milk overnight than in the day. My thoughts are
*fussy due to teething
*we've stopped giving infacol and he is more windy, not feeding due to wind discomfort
*The weaning is filling him up (although due to the BLW he isn't really eating much, and it's once a day, 2 max if he's only played with the first attempt)
*he seems to take a lot of water during his meals
*distracted in the day, or now associates feeding with night? He will refuse a bottle right up to bedtime then gulp down the one offered after his bath and bed routine in seconds, even if it's only 30 mins later!
If anyone has any similar experiences could you share advice and possible reasons?! I mainly don't like him being so obviously grouchy becuase he's hungry, but then not feed! If that also meant we were down to one night feed is also be happy :)
