Best way of introducing a bit of formula at 6m?

Ds2 is 5m now, ebf and has never had a bottle as I don't get on with expressing. I am considering introducing a bit of formula when he starts solids so that a. It's easier for me to spend more time with ds1 and b. So that I don't always have to do bedtime!!

Any tips on the best way to do this? Ds1 never had anything other than boob so I'm a bit clueless!

Should also add I'm keen to avoid using bottles if possible!

You could try a sippy cup. Use ready made as it's easier.

Why do you want to avoid a bottle? Just out of interest

We're not going to use bottles, just soppy cups (for water with meals if that makes any difference?) but I've just given one to dd tonight (5.5m) and she popped it straight in, sucked a big mouthful of water straight in! She was quite shocked but took to it really well so maybe stick some in a beaker with a lid and warm slightly?

Sippy cups! Ffs.

Because I don't want to faff around sterilising them, and because it often seems to take a lot of goes to find a bottle that the baby will take! As I'd only be looking to use formula on occasion, not a regular basis, I just want to be able to do it, if you know what I mean Grin

No need to sterilise after 6 months but a sippy cup may be simpler if you're worried about bottles.

I think if preparing formula you need to sterilise due to the bacteria in it which can get stuck in small scratches etc.
