could I have a blocked duct 6 months in?

I'm ebf DD2 who is nearly 6 months. I've developed a pain in one breast in the last day that has become increasingly sore. Could it be a blocked duct this far into things? Haven't had any this time though got mastitis the first time, terrified of that happening again.

I'm 8 months into feeding and still get blocked ducts!
Is there a lump? Or a bruised feeling? That's what mine feel like. I massage, feed just off that side or express to clear it.

Both, sounds like that's what it is! Thanks, will try that.

Is there a white bleb on the nipple? This is more common in later bf. If there is massage etc may not help as there's nowhere for the milk to go.

Ibuprofen, massage in bath and get rid of the bleb anyway you can, rough rubbing with washcloth, or sterilised needle even.

Then pump, massage and feed to get the old milk out.

Nothing on nipple, phew!

Oh good! I'd suggest a warm bath or heat pack, ibuprofen and pumping or feeding. Perhaps try different feeding positions. The rugby hold worked well for me when I had blocked ducts.
