OK lo (13mnths) only feeds am and night. He has developed a habit of biting my left nipple and yesterday drew blood Sad . He then reopened the wound this evening. It is so painful but I don't feel ready to give up bf yet as we are having many life changes and illnesses atm. I have bought shields to use but does anyone have any other ideas??? He usually feeds left then right so I'm going to try to swap but ooooooooowwwwww ww Sad Sad thanks

Ouch. My sympathy OP. DD2 is 'biting' me with her gums at the moment which is bloody painful.

I get the lansinoh out again when I get a bad bite

Sounds silly but go back to basics - very open mouth, positioning, flipple to get a very very large mouthful in and he will be unable to bite down while feeding. Just watch when it gets to an end of a feed and pull back as that's when mine tend to bite!!

Thanks both, I'd forgotten about Lanisoh! I'll see if I can find it! thanks.
I've swapped our feeding routine from right then left and that seems to be helping. He has actually made a dent that doesn't seem to be popping out again! I actually have a physically scar! Bloody good he's gorgeous!
