weaning baby from breastfeeding onto formula

So after much thought I have decided it is time to stop breastfeeding and move onto formula. My problem is how to do this? My little one will not take a bottle from me, only my partner and only if it is expressed breast milk. we went right in at the deep end today and just gave her formula. she would not take it, all she wanted was her mummy and it got to the point that she wouldn't even let daddy settle her. I have considered doing half formula and half breast milk. however it takes me 30 mins plus to express only 5oz. Any tips or advice on how to wean my little one off my milk would be appreciated. :)

How old is she? I'm interested as I will at this stage soon. I expressed tonight and got almost 4 oz but like you it took almost 30mins. I didn't think that was too bad though. My dd is 11 weeks

my little one is 6 months old. when she was around 3 months it took me roughly 15 mins to express around 5oz. just find expressing so dull compared to breastfeeding. really enjoy breastfeeding but she is becoming increasingly attached to me for comfort and have just started to notice she won't comfort herself with anyone other than me, which will be hard when I return to work.

I found the only way to get formula into mine at around 5 months was to give it in a sippy cup with baby in a bouncy chair or propped on the sofa rather than holding him. From about 4 months I couldn't get him to take a bottle at all.

Formula tastes properly grim compared to breastmilk in my experience (purely in the interests of experimentation, you understand!).

I found this really, really useful:

My DS is 6 months and I am going back to work next week. He started solids 3 weeks ago and has dropped his daytime breastfeeds right back - 3 in the day (7am, 4pm, 7pm) and 1 at night.
