Nipples getting stuck in Medela breast pump!!

hi
has anyone else had this problem, i'm using the mini electric breast pump and have it switched to midway between high and low pump, but my nipples seem to get sucked through too much which slows down the motor which eventually cuts out!!!!!

very frustrating - have to keep stopping for 10 mnins or so and starting again, so it's taking forever.

Could it be possible that the pump is faulty? Have you contacted Medela regarding this. Considering the pump isnt exactly cheap..

your supposed to start it on high, then once the milk comes in switch to low, like baby does, it also stopps your nips getting sucked thru hth's

mine did too. i have big nipples and nipples get larger with letdown reflex. i used the mini. now use an ameda lactaline double pump with the silicone bit that the medela has and my nipples don't get stuck.
