Best before dates on formula - how far in advance can I buy?

Our baby is due in a few weeks and I'm getting everything in for it. How far in advance can I buy ready to feed formula and formula powder? I don't want to buy it too early and have to bin it because it has gone off. Thanks!

You can buy it already if you are due soon so long as you keep the tin sealed. Don't stockpile though as you may need th change brands if the first one doesn't suit.

That's a good point. I was just going to buy Aptimil as DD was fine on that, but every baby's different.
