DS (18 weeks) has had luminous frothy green poo for about 6 weeks. very rare for him to have yellow poos now. HVs are clueless. should i be worried?

kamikayzed, I expect asleep has already used the standard first formula. Lactose-free formulas should only be used with an HP's guidance and only for babies who are diagnosed lactose-intolerant - they're usually based on soya and that is not something you would want your baby to have unless he actually needed it because he couldn't take anything else. Enfamil is not widely available in the UK (in fact, I don't think I have ever seen it on sale here).

If your baby is thriving, asleep, then the green poo is probably not an issue. It may reflect the ingredients in the formula - check the label of the Cow&Gate Premium - could it be something in that?

thank you, tiktok. he was on standard formula first, yes. he is definitely thriving. he was a very heavy baby at birth and has dropped down the centiles, but is gaining weight steadily.
