Why won't my baby take a bedtime feed?

DS1 (8 wks) is ebf and feeds well through the day and night except for his last feed of the day. He has his bath at 7ish (which he loves) and as soon as he is dressed, he starts screaming and won't take a feed. He is then put down with his dummy eventually and falls asleep in around 10-15 mins.
I've tried bringing bedtime forward, making sure he is hungry by having his previous feed sufficient time before, tried bottke feeding which is even worse (although we'd like DH to do last feed eventually) but it makes no difference. He's out for the count at the time we'd like to do dream feed so won't take a feed when he's asleep. He tends to sleep through when he's down until about 12.30 although we can have everything from 11.30 to 2am (only twice though). I can't help thinking if he took a decent feed at 7.30, he'd sleep longer.....any ideas?

I remember my dd not wanting to feed at bedtime for a while at that age - and really worrying about it. I think she just didn't know that was the routine! Now she starts smacking her lips as soon as she gets in the bath, as she knows her big bedtime feed is coming. So I would say that your baby will get used to the bedtime routine too - just needs time.

If your baby is managing to sleep a chunk, keep doing what you're doing and don't worry - it will all fall in to place.
