Unopened 1litre bottle of ready made aptamil - expiry 3rd Oct - would you use it?

I just found one of the large bottles of ready made aptamil in our cupboard - it's 1litre and would last us for two days, which is how long it can stay in the fridge once opened.

We normally use standard powder/water combination, but I bought this months ago when we started formula for DD2 (now 10mths).

It expired last week - would you use it now or bin it?

No.

It has such a long date when you buy it (months and months) that I get twitchy near the date, let alone past it.

No I wouldn't take risk with babies different with adults as I usually go with if your stomach ain't made of steel then your just shit it out.

Thanks both. I think my gut was saying the same thing I just wasn't sure if I was being precious, as I would be perfectly happy eating stuff WAY past use by dates for myself, but as you rightly say, little babies' stomachs are probably not as tough as mine!

Binng it right now...

my gut was saying the same thing

And now you've made sure DD's gut won't join in the chorus.
