dd still bf first thing a.m. and bed time and occasionally during day. B4 holidays was drinking from bottle at night with dh. How do I do the switch again - just shakes head when offer her a beaker of milk. Would like to slowly stop bf but need some strategies to make transition easy for both her and me. Is it easier to change morning or bed time routine first?

My DS2 is 20mths and I've just stopped bf.
My advice would be to stop the occasional during the day at first.

The morning one was more difficult for me because it meant i had to get out of bed early!!

I work some evenings so DS2 was used to going without bedtime bf when I was out. He would drink some cows milk instead.

In the end I just decided to stop, and he did complain and moan! But after a week he stopped asking. I found it helpful to have DH there to offer the milk and distract him from my boobs.

To sum up, you can go slow and wean him off gradually, but there will come a time when you need to be a bit tough and say that's it. That's my experience anyway.
