i am ready to start mixed feeding or at least get my 3 month used to bottles so i can leave him on occasion.
he just completely refuses, i have tried mummy milk bottle and sma and tried tommy tippee wide bottles and all sorts of teats!
he doesn't go longer than 2 hours between feeds either so can't leave him at all. i have put off going back to uni until next year but still only gives me a few months to get him used to the bottle.

has anyone got any tips?

i found with my dd she didnt like anything that was even slightly trying to resemble a breast, so no teat or spout would work. she will now drink from a doidy cup, i think because it's not like i'm trying to pretend it's my boob iyswim. other than that, have you tried someone else feeding your baby, or feeding while they're in a chair rather than on your lap.

dear slinkstah

I have just overcome this hurdle today - my boy (5 months) refused anything else for 3 days and I kept relenting and BF'ing even tho he was biting. in the end, I just perservered and didn't give in to him and after 8 hours he suddenly started drinking from the bottle like he had been doing it all his little life! now he is fine. I too spent a fortune on teats and bottles and he just took whicjever one I happened to be trying him with at the time, which turned out to be avent. have stuck with them and no problem. it is a horrible time trying to change them over bit just perservere, it will happen, as my HV said, he won't let himself starve or get thirsty!
